- Created Roof Shield and Side Supports (assembly): "The shields around the cutterhead support. The roof shield and its fingers protect the work zone behind the face, the side supports and vertical support steady the front of the machine in the bore, and the dust shield closes off the cutting chamber. Retracting the shields shrinks the machine's diameter, which helps free it in squeezing rock."
