- Created Furnaces, Gas and Vacuum (assembly): "A box furnace fires pellets and powders in air, and a tube furnace with regulators, a flow meter and a rotary vane pump fires them in flowing oxygen or argon after pump-down. An arc melter and quartz ampoules sealed with a torch make intermetallics, which an oxide-only program can skip."
