Overview

The bottle filling machine is a rotary monobloc that rinses, fills and caps containers in one continuous flow at up to 6,000 bottles per hour. Empty bottles arrive on an air conveyor, pass through three carousels mounted on a shared central column, and leave capped on a discharge conveyor. Combining the three operations on one frame removes the transfer conveyors and timing screws that separate machines would need, cutting footprint and the number of points where a bottle can jam or tip. All product-contact parts are 316L stainless and PTFE so the wetted path can be cleaned in place without disassembly. A single servo turns every carousel through one gearbox, so rinse, fill and cap stay in phase at any line speed.

How it works

Bottles enter through the Infeed Section, where a blower-fed air conveyor floats them by the neck ring to a timing screw that spaces them to carousel pitch before an infeed star wheel hands them off. The Rinser Carousel grips each bottle by the neck, inverts it over a nozzle, and sprays sterile water supplied by a feed pump to flush out dust and particulate, then rights it for filling.

At the Filler Block the bottle is raised on a cam-timed lift cylinder to seal against a filling valve. Each of the 24 valves meters product by magnetic flow meter to ±0.5%, drawing from a rotating product tank whose Tank Level Control holds a constant head. The filled bottle then transfers to the Capper Turret, where a centrifugal sorter orients caps from a hopper, feeds them down a chute, and torque-clutch chucks screw each one to a preset torque.

The Main Drive is a central servo gearmotor that turns all three carousels and the transfer star wheels from one shaft through timing belts, keeping the stations synchronized. Capped bottles exit on the Discharge Conveyor. The Control System coordinates the line from a PLC with a touchscreen HMI, commanding the servo drives and reading level, pressure and bottle-presence sensors. Between production runs the CIP Cleaning System seals dummy cups over the fill valves and recirculates detergent and rinse through the product path, so the wetted circuit is sanitized without opening it.
