Strapping Machine Product
Overview
A strapping machine binds a package, bundle, or pallet with a tensioned band of plastic strap and joins the overlap into a closed loop. It is the most common end-of-line securing method for cartons, print stacks, and palletised goods because the consumable is cheap and a single cycle takes barely more than a second. An automatic machine threads strap around the load itself through an Strap Arch, so the operator only positions the package and presses a pedal.
The whole machine sits on the Frame & Table, a welded base with a work table and bolt-on covers, and every motion is timed by the Control Board.
How it works
Strap is drawn from a coil in the Strap Dispenser, which keeps a buffered loop in an accumulator so the fast feed stroke never stalls the heavy reel. On a strap signal the Feed & Tension Unit shoots the strap up and around the arch channel until its end returns to the Weld & Cut Head and is caught by the gripper.
The feed rollers then reverse: first they retract the slack so the band collapses out of the arch guides and snaps tight against the package, then the tension rollers pull to the set band tension. With both strap layers held in the weld head, a heated blade (for PP) or a vibrating friction motion (for PET) melts their facing surfaces; the blade withdraws, a press pad squeezes the layers until the joint cools, and the cut-off knife severs the strap from the supply. A cam shaft sequences gripper, blade, press, and knife in one rotation, while Drive Belt links carry power from the motors to the roller stacks. The cycle ends with the strap reel rewinding the unused tail back into the accumulator, ready for the next package.
