Heat-Pump Dryer Product
Overview
A heat-pump dryer dries laundry without venting hot moist air outdoors. Instead it runs the same air around a closed loop, pulling the water out of it with a refrigeration circuit and reusing the heat. Because nothing is exhausted, the machine plugs into an ordinary outlet and can sit anywhere, and because it recycles heat it uses roughly half the energy of a vented or condenser dryer.
Laundry tumbles in the Drum Assembly, a perforated stainless drum on support rollers, turned by a belt from an induction Drive Motor. Air drawn through the load first passes the Lint Filter — a coarse door screen plus a fine foam stage — which matters more here than in a vented dryer because lint that reaches the coil fins chokes airflow and kills efficiency. The user loads through the glass Loading Door, sealed with a gasket so the air loop stays closed, and runs the machine from the Control Panel.
How it works
The heart of the machine is the Heat-Pump Loop, a sealed refrigerant circuit identical in principle to a refrigerator's. The Refrigerant Compressor — a hermetic motor-and-piston unit reusing the same stator, rotor, and winding as any compressor — raises refrigerant pressure and temperature. The hot refrigerant runs through the condenser coil, which reheats the dry process air on its way back to the drum. After giving up that heat the refrigerant passes the expansion valve, drops in pressure, and reaches the cold evaporator coil.
The Process-Air Blower pushes the loop: warm humid air leaves the drum, hits the cold Evaporator Coil, and gives up its moisture as condensation, then crosses the Condenser Coil to be reheated and sent back through the load. The same heat keeps getting recycled, which is why the process air only needs to reach 50–60 °C — gentle on fabrics.
Water wrung from the air drips into the Condensate System tray, and a small motor-driven pump lifts it to a pull-out drawer tank (or out a drain hose); a float switch halts the cycle if the tank fills. The Main Control Board sequences the compressor, drum motor, blower, and pump, and watches the Sensor Set — air thermistors plus conductivity bars in the drum that sense when the load stops conducting and is therefore dry, ending the cycle instead of running a fixed timer.
