Janitor Cart Product
Overview
A janitor cart is the workhorse of professional cleaning crews, holding everything needed to service a floor or corridor without multiple trips. It combines a shelving unit for supplies, a waste-removal station, a mop-bucket mount, and a lockable cabinet—all on four casters for easy movement. Designed for daily 8–10 hour use in hospitals, schools, offices, and commercial buildings, the cart keeps supplies organized, improves workflow efficiency, and reduces physical strain by centralizing tools and materials within arm's reach.
The core is a welded-steel Frame and Shelves with three open Wire Shelf Panel for towel dispensers, spray bottles, and cleaning cloths. The Waste Bag Holder is a hinged cage holding a plastic liner and a roll of replacement bags, with a cutting bar for quick changes without touching soiled hands. The Bucket Dock is a pair of fixed slots that grip a standard mop bucket and sits above a Drain Tray to catch squeeze water, which drains through a ball-valve spout. The Locking Cabinet is a small locking box for expensive or hazardous chemicals, preventing unauthorized access or theft. All four Caster Wheel Set are swivel-type with foot-activated brakes so the cart can be locked in place on sloped floors while work is in progress.
How it works
The cart is pushed through a building by a single operator or pulled alongside if two people are working. Supplies are arranged on the shelves in order of use: towels and microfiber cloths on one shelf, glass cleaner and disinfectants on another, and damp cloths on a third. The mop bucket sits in the dock, and after wringing, the water runs into the drain tray and out the spout into a sink or floor drain. When waste piles up, the operator lifts the cage lid, removes the full bag, and pulls a fresh one from the roll on the spool, cutting it on the steel bar—a one-handed operation that keeps hands clean. At the end of a shift, the operator pushes the cart to a supply closet or break room, locks the cabinet if needed, and covers the shelves if dust or humidity is a concern. A properly maintained cart lasts 5–10 years and is often the most visible equipment in a building, so color schemes and overall appearance matter for professional first impressions.
