Upright Vacuum Product
Overview
The upright vacuum is a corded floor cleaner built as a single self-contained body that the operator pushes ahead of them. Unlike a canister machine, the motor, dust separation, filters, and cleaner head all sit in one chassis that pivots back from the floor on rear wheels. Air is drawn through the cleaner head, stripped of dust by a cyclone, filtered, and exhausted at the back, while a powered brushroll combs the carpet at the same time.
Two motors do the work. A single-stage bypass motor develops the vacuum, and a separate small motor spins the brushroll through a belt so that loss of airflow never stalls the agitator. A control board switches both and watches the brushroll for jams.
How it works
Air enters through the cleaner head at the base of the machine. There the Brushroll Assembly agitates the carpet: a dedicated motor turns the bristle bar through a drive belt, beating the pile so embedded grit is freed and swept into the airflow. The brush bar rides on bearings at each end and is sized to the cleaning width.
The dust-laden stream then climbs into the Cyclonic Dust Bin, where a stack of cones spins the air fast enough to fling dust outward into a clear cup that empties from a bottom door. Fine dust that survives the cyclone is caught by a washable pre-filter before the air reaches the motor.
Suction comes from the Suction Motor, a bypass universal motor whose centrifugal impeller pulls the working vacuum while a separate cooling path keeps the windings cool. After the motor the air passes the sealed HEPA Exhaust Filter, which traps allergens in the exhaust.
The Height Adjuster sets brush-to-floor distance through an indexed cam, matching the head to bare floors or deep pile. For above-floor work the Hose & Wand detaches from the spine, extending reach with a wand and crevice tool. Everything is sequenced by the Control Board, which switches both motors from the power switch and built onto the molded body.
