Overview
An electric motorcycle replaces the combustion engine, fuel tank, and multi-speed gearbox of a conventional bike with a single electric drive: a traction motor, a high-voltage battery, and a power inverter. There is no clutch and no gear shifting — the motor delivers full torque from zero rpm through a single fixed reduction, so the rider only opens the throttle. This machine is a full-size naked roadster built around a steel trellis frame, putting out 80 kW peak and 220 Nm, good for 200 km/h and roughly 260 km of city range from a 15 kWh pack.
The structure is split into a TIG-welded Trellis Main Frame that carries the motor and battery loads, and a bolt-on Rear Subframe supporting the Seat. The heavy High-Voltage Battery Pack sits low and central where a fuel tank and engine would normally live, keeping the center of gravity down for handling.
How it works
Energy flows from the pack to the wheel through three stages. The High-Voltage Battery Pack stores DC at roughly 96 volts; its HV Contactor pair connects it to the bus only after a safe precharge. The Motor Controller (Inverter) then chops that DC into three-phase AC, using six IGBT power stages switched by a control board to spin the Traction Motor & Reduction. That motor is a permanent-magnet synchronous machine whose rotor magnets lock onto the inverter's rotating field; commutation timing comes from the Hall Sensor feedback so the inverter always energizes the right phases.
The motor's output is too fast and too low in torque to drive the wheel directly, so it passes through the Reduction Gear Stage gear stage and then out to the Belt Final Drive, a quiet, maintenance-light toothed belt rather than a chain. Twisting the Ride-by-Wire Throttle sends a ride-by-wire signal to the inverter, which meters current — and therefore torque — in proportion to the request. Lifting off makes the motor act as a generator, feeding regenerative braking energy back into the pack.
The rider's controls and feedback live up front. The Steering & Controls assembly carries the throttle and switch pods, while the TFT Instrument Cluster shows speed, charge, and power on a color TFT cluster. Suspension is handled by an inverted Inverted Front Fork and a linkage-driven Swingarm & Monoshock, and stopping is the job of the Brake System system with its two-channel ABS modulator. When the pack runs low, the Onboard Charger converts wall AC back into high-voltage DC to refill it.
