Massage Chair Product

Overview

A massage chair reclines the body and works it over with motorized rollers, inflatable airbags, and heat. The structure is the Frame & Recline, a welded steel frame carrying two linear actuators that tilt the back and raise the legs into a zero-gravity posture where the knees sit above the heart. Against the spine runs the Roller Track, a curved rail with a motor-driven carriage. The Airbag System squeezes the limbs, Heating Pads pads warm the lower back, and everything is sequenced by the Control & Remote board and its remote.

The mechanisms are wrapped in Upholstery of molded foam and synthetic leather, and a separate Foot/Calf Module handles the calves and feet. Many of the moving parts reuse the same building blocks the rest of the catalog uses: brushless motors, gear reductions, and a ball screw.

How it works

Recline is driven by the Recline Actuator pair. Each is a Stator Assembly and Rotor Assembly motor turning a Ball Screw inside a tube, converting rotation into a straight push that tilts the back and leg sections about their pivots; limit switches cap the travel. With the body reclined, the Roller Track takes over: two more motors, geared down through a Helical Gear Pair each, drive the Roller Carriage up and down the contoured rail and work the roller heads in and out for kneading, tapping, and shiatsu.

Compression comes from the Airbag System. A diaphragm pump, run by its own motor, feeds a Valve Manifold of solenoid valves; the Control & Remote board opens one valve at a time to inflate a given zone, then vents it, so the bladders around the arms, hips, and legs squeeze and release in sequence. The Heating Pads pads draw from a regulated Power Supply and warm the lumbar foam, with a thermostat capping their temperature.

All of it is orchestrated by the Control & Remote board, where a Microcontroller runs the stored programs, reads the touchscreen remote, and switches the motors, valves, and heater through the chair's wiring harness.
