Gas Irrigation Pump Product

Overview

A gas-driven centrifugal pump transports water from wells, ponds, or surface sources to irrigation fields. The Gasoline Engine burns gasoline to rotate the Pump Head (Centrifugal), whose Impeller spins at high speed, accelerating water radially outward into the pump casing and out through the Discharge Manifold. The unit is portable and requires no external power, making it ideal for remote agricultural applications or during power outages.

Water enters through a Suction Hose drawn up from the source by the negative pressure the impeller generates. A Suction Strainer Housing and Foot Valve protect the pump from sand and allow one-way intake. The Support Frame supports the engine and pump as a single transportable assembly.

How it works

The Cylinder Block houses a single Piston & Rings connected to a Crankshaft via a Connecting Rod. Air intake and fuel injection are controlled by the Carburetor and Fuel System, while a Spark Plug fires each cycle and is triggered by the Ignition Coil.

The rotating Crankshaft is coupled through a Engine-Pump Coupling to the Pump Shaft, which spins the Impeller. As the impeller rotates, water enters near the axis and is flung outward by centrifugal force into the Pump Casing, where it accumulates and exits at higher pressure. The Pressure Relief Valve opens if discharge pressure exceeds the safe limit, protecting seals and hoses.

User-operated Control Levers & Choke set engine speed via throttle, while the Choke Lever enriches the fuel mixture for cold starts. The Priming Valve allows water to be poured directly into the pump case when the suction lift is very deep, filling the impeller vane cavities so priming does not require running the engine.
