LED Light Therapy Mask Product
Overview
An LED light therapy mask treats the skin with low-intensity light at specific wavelengths, a technique borrowed from professional skincare and brought into a wearable form. Different colours do different jobs: red light is used to encourage collagen and reduce the look of fine lines, blue light targets the bacteria involved in acne, and near-infrared penetrates deeper to support healing. The mask holds dozens of these LEDs in a face-shaped shell so the whole face is treated hands-free during a timed session.
The light comes from a led-face-mask-array of LEDs in three wavelengths, mounted in a rigid Mask Shell that holds them at the right distance from the skin. A Driver Board powers the LEDs, a tethered Handheld Controller selects the mode and runs the timer, and a Battery Pack supplies power through a Charge Port. For comfort and safety the mask adds Eye Shields, adjustable Head Straps and a soft Skin-Safe Lining against the face.
How it works
The LEDs sit on a flexible PCB so the array can follow the curve of the face. Each colour band — red, blue and near-infrared — is wired as its own group, and the Driver Board powers each group through a constant-current driver under control of the MCU. Constant-current matters because an LED's brightness depends on current, not just voltage, so the driver holds a steady current to keep the light dose even across the session and consistent as the battery drains. A diffuser layer spreads the points of light into a smoother wash so the skin sees an even field rather than bright dots.
Control and safety wrap around the optics. The Handheld Controller lets the user pick which wavelength to run and starts a fixed-length session that ends with an automatic shut-off, since these treatments are dosed by time. Because staring into bright LEDs is uncomfortable and unwise, Eye Shields cap the eye openings. The Skin-Safe Lining is medical-grade silicone, soft against the skin and easy to wipe down between uses, while the Head Straps hold the mask flush so it can be worn while doing something else. The Battery Pack in the controller makes it cordless, charged over USB-C.
