Epilator

Overview

The epilator removes hair mechanically by the root. A rotating drum packed with metal disc plates opens and closes as it spins, gripping hairs between the plates and pulling them out. The device is cordless, sealed for wet or dry use, and accepts snap-on caps that convert it for shaving, trimming or post-epilation massage.

The working end is the Epilation Head, a removable cassette of stacked tweezer discs. The Body Housing seals the electronics and battery against water, and a front LED Beauty Light illuminates fine hairs.

How it works

The Geared Drive is a DC motor with a gear reduction stage that turns the Epilation Head drum at a controlled working speed. The drum carries 24 thin tweezer discs on a shaft; as the drum rotates, the discs flex toward and away from each other through a cam path. On the closing side they pinch any hair lying against them, and continued rotation pulls the hair clear of the follicle. Bearings on the drum shaft keep the cassette running true.

The Control Board holds the microcontroller, a two-speed switch for gentle or fast operation, a status LED, and the Li-ion charge controller. Power comes from the Battery Pack, a single protected cell.

Charging is handled by the Charging System subassembly: pogo contacts on the body take 5 V from a USB-C port fed by a wall adapter. Because epilation is often done in the shower, the housing is sealed to IPX7 and the head can be detached and rinsed.

The Attachment Heads set extends the tool: a foil shaver cap, a trimmer guide comb, and a massage roller cap that soothes the skin after plucking. A cleaning brush clears trapped hair from between the tweezer discs.
