Pressure Washer

Product

Overview

A pressure washer raises ordinary tap-water pressure to clean surfaces with a high-velocity jet. This is an electric direct-drive model: a universal motor spins an axial cam pump that pressurises water to around 2000 psi, and an auto start-stop system runs the motor only while the spray trigger is held. A detergent system, interchangeable nozzles and a rolling cart round it out for domestic cleaning of decks, vehicles and masonry.

Water from a garden hose enters through the Water Inlet, passing a debris screen and an anti-siphon check valve into the Axial Cam Pump. There a swash plate, tilted on the motor shaft, drives three ceramic plungers in and out of their bores; check valves let each plunger draw on the intake stroke and discharge under pressure on the delivery stroke. The motor itself, the Electric Motor, is a universal unit with a thermal cutoff and a shaft seal isolating it from the wet pump end.

How it works

The Control Board together with the Pressure Switch provides auto start-stop: with the unit armed at the power switch, the motor only runs when a pressure drop signals that the trigger is open, and shuts off when the trigger is released. The pump's unloader valve bypasses flow back to the inlet during that idle moment, and a pressure-relief valve guards against overpressure.

Pressurised water leaves through the High-Pressure Outlet and a steel-braid hose to the Spray Gun. The gun's trigger valve feeds a lance fitted with quick-connect nozzles, a rotary turbo jet, a variable nozzle and a 25° fan, that set the spray pattern. For soaping, the Detergent System system siphons solution from an onboard tank through a venturi injector into the low-pressure stream. The whole unit ships on the Frame & Cart, a wheeled cart with a telescoping handle, and runs off a GFCI line cord for wet-area safety.
