LED Grow Light Product

Overview

An LED grow light replaces sunlight for indoor plants, delivering the wavelengths photosynthesis uses while staying efficient enough to run for hours a day. The output comes from a Full-Spectrum LED Board, a quantum board that mixes a wash of White LED Diode diodes for broad coverage with Deep-Red LED Diode diodes at 660 nm to strengthen the flowering band. The board is bonded to a Extruded Heatsink, because LED efficiency and lifespan both fall as the junction heats up.

Mains power is conditioned by a Constant-Current Driver and the whole assembly is carried in a Housing folded from sheet metal. Higher-wattage fixtures add a Cooling Fan Module fan; lower-wattage panels shed heat passively. A Dimmer & Timer Board dims the output and runs the daily light cycle, and Hanging Brackets ratchets set the fixture height over the canopy.

How it works

The Constant-Current Driver runs the LEDs in long series strings at a fixed current. Its Constant-Current Regulator IC regulates that current regardless of small voltage shifts, which keeps brightness and colour stable and protects the diodes from thermal runaway. Photon output is measured in PPF (photosynthetic photon flux), and holding current steady is what keeps PPF predictable across a fixture's life.

Heat management decides how hard the board can be driven. The Extruded Heatsink conducts heat off the Aluminium LED Board, and on dense high-power boards the Axial Cooling Fan forces air across the fins so the diodes stay in their efficient range. The Dimmer & Timer Board board's microcontroller dims the driver from the Dimmer Knob and switches the schedule, so a grower sets a day length once and the fixture repeats it. The Hanging Brackets rope-ratchets let the light be raised as plants grow, holding the right distance between canopy and diodes.
