LED Work Light (Rechargeable) Product

Overview

A rechargeable LED work light is a portable lamp built to throw flood light on a job and survive a worksite. The light comes from a LED Panel & Reflector: an array of mid-power LEDs reflowed onto a metal-core board, sitting behind a Faceted Reflector that spreads the beam. Power comes from an onboard Battery Pack rather than a cord, so the light goes wherever the work is, and the whole assembly lives inside a sealed rubber-armoured Housing & Lens.

What makes it a tool rather than a torch is how it mounts. A fold-out Stand & Magnet Hook props it at an angle, a hook hangs it overhead, and a magnetic base sticks it to any steel surface, freeing both hands. A USB Charge Port tops the pack back up from any USB-C source.

How it works

The Driver Board is a constant-current buck regulator. Battery voltage sags as the cells drain, but the Constant-Current Driver IC keeps the LED current steady, so the light does not dim until the pack is nearly empty. The Power & Mode Switch cycles the driver's microcontroller through high, low and flash modes; in low mode the driver simply targets a lower current, stretching runtime.

The Battery Pack pairs two Li-ion Cell, 18650 cells in series with a BMS Board. The protection board guards against over-charge, over-discharge and short circuit, and it manages the charge profile when the USB Charge Port is plugged in, tapering current as the cells fill. Heat from the LEDs flows through the Metal-Core PCB into the housing, which doubles as the heatsink, while the Sealing Gasket and Clear Lens keep dust and splashes out of the optics and electronics.
