Leg Press Machine Product
Overview
A 45-degree leg press is a plate-loaded strength machine for the legs. The user sits in a reclined Seat & Backrest and pushes a weighted sled up two inclined rails with both feet. Because the load travels at a fixed 45-degree angle, the machine isolates the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes while the back stays supported, so the spine carries far less shear than a free-weight squat.
Resistance comes from Olympic plates slid onto four Weight Horn pegs on the moving sled. Adding or removing plates changes the load in defined steps, and the angle means the user lifts a predictable fraction of the stacked weight. The whole structure stands on a welded Steel Frame that keeps the geometry rigid under heavy loads and planted on the floor through rubber feet.
How it works
The sled is the Carriage Sled, a welded steel weldment that carries the textured Textured Footplate. It rides the angled rails on four Guide Roller units, each running on sealed ball bearings so the travel stays smooth and quiet as the load builds. When the user drives their feet into the footplate, the carriage climbs the rails; the legs then control the descent back toward the start.
Setting up a lift means dialing in the Seat & Backrest. The seat pad and angled back pad pivot on a bracket, and a ratchet adjuster locks the start position so the knees begin at a comfortable bend. A light counterbalance eases the empty sled back so the user is not fighting dead weight before any plates go on.
Safety is handled by the Safety Catch System. Spring-loaded catches sit along the rails, and the user rotates a hand lever to set or release them. Coil springs return the catches to the locked position automatically, so if a rep fails the sled drops only as far as the nearest catch instead of onto the lifter. Rubber bumpers cushion the sled at both ends of its travel, and side hand grips let the user brace and stabilize through each press.
