Pec Deck Machine Product
Overview
A pec deck trains the chest with a hugging motion: the user sits, sets their forearms against two padded arms, and presses them together in front of the body. It isolates the pectorals without a barbell to balance, so it is a staple for chest work and for training around a shoulder that does not tolerate pressing.
The machine sits on a welded Steel Frame whose upright carries the arm pivots and the cam at the top, with a Stack Tower alongside for the weights. The user sits on the Seat & Back Pad, drives the two Rotating Press Arm press arms together, and the motion is routed through the Cam & Cable Linkage to lift the Selectorized Weight Stack.
How it works
Each Rotating Press Arm is a curved steel arm with a forearm pad and grip that swings on a Pivot Bearing. The bearing-mounted hub lets the arm sweep through its arc with no slop, so both sides track evenly and the user feels a clean, matched load on the left and right.
The load itself is the Selectorized Weight Stack: Weight Plate plates on two guide rods, with a Selector Pin through a chosen plate setting how much the cable lifts. As the arms close, the Cam & Cable Linkage does the shaping work. A profiled Load Cam at the pivots takes up cable at a varying rate across the arc, so the resistance the chest feels stays even from the open stretch to the squeeze instead of spiking where the leverage is best. The cable runs over Pulley wheels on sealed bearings down to the stack top plate.
The Seat & Back Pad tunes the fit. A pop-pin Seat Adjuster sets the seat height so the Arm Pad pads meet at chest level, putting the press in the right plane for the user; a back pad braces the torso so the effort goes into the chest rather than into bracing against the machine.
