PC Water Cooling Kit Product

Overview

A water cooling system for PCs transfers heat from hot silicon (CPU, GPU) to ambient air via a liquid medium, achieving lower temperatures and quieter operation than air cooling alone. The PC Water Cooling Kit is a closed-loop kit that ships fully assembled and filled: the Pump Assembly circulates the Premixed Coolant through a sealed path from the Reservoir / Tank to the CPU Water Block, then to the Radiator where three large fans dissipate heat, and finally back to the reservoir.

The CPU Water Block is a copper cold plate that sits atop the CPU's Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS). The block's internal Internal Fins create turbulence in the coolant, maximizing convective heat transfer. The Radiator Fans push room-temperature air through the Radiator Core, evaporating the coolant's heat into the air. The entire loop is sealed with O-Ring Sets and Compression Fittings; an optional GPU Water Block can be daisy-chained into the loop for graphics card cooling.

How it works

The Pump Motor, powered by 12 V from the PC's motherboard header, spins the Pump Impeller at ~3000 RPM. The impeller accelerates fluid radially outward, creating a low-pressure region at the center and forcing coolant through the Reservoir / Tank outlet. Coolant flows through the Flexible Tubing to the CPU Water Block.

Inside the CPU block, the coolant passes through a serpentine path across the Copper Base Plate. The CPU's die temperature (e.g., 90 °C under heavy load) heats the coolant; convection carries that heat downstream to the Radiator.

The radiator is an aluminum fin stack with water channels running through it. The Radiator Fans (controlled by the motherboard's PWM fan headers) blow ambient air (e.g., 25 °C) across the fins. Coolant flowing through the core loses heat to this airstream via conduction and convection, dropping by 10–20 K.

The cooled coolant returns to the Reservoir / Tank, where air bubbles float to the top (and are bled via an air screw on the reservoir cap). The cycle repeats many times per second.

The Premixed Coolant is deionized water with Corrosion Inhibitor Additive (rust/corrosion preventative) and Colored Dye (optics and leak visibility). Over time, inhibitors are consumed, and Premixed Coolant is replaced annually.

Optional GPU Water Block blocks can be inserted in series; the same coolant loop cools both CPU and GPU. Quick Disconnect Coupling couplers allow upgrading or disconnecting the block without draining the entire loop.
