AssemblyOverview
A rack PDU distributes utility power to every device in the cabinet. This is a metered and switched 0U vertical unit: it not only delivers power but measures consumption at each outlet and can switch outlets on and off over the network.
Construction
Outlets, breakers and electronics live in an extruded-aluminum PDU Chassis that mounts vertically in the rack's 0U side channel. The strip presents 42 switched PDU Outlet (IEC) IEC receptacles, divided across branches each guarded by a PDU Branch Breaker. The intelligence sits on the PDU Metering Board, which drives a relay behind every outlet and meters current per receptacle. Readings appear locally on an LCD Panel and are exported through the Management Network Port for remote monitoring, capacity planning, and outlet-level remote reboots of hung equipment.
