Server Rack

Product

Overview

A server rack is the standardized steel enclosure that mounts, powers, cools and secures data-center equipment. This is a 42U cabinet built to the EIA-310 19-inch standard, so any compliant server, switch or storage unit bolts into its rails. Beyond structure, it integrates the supporting systems a rack of running hardware needs: power, airflow, cabling and monitoring.

The load-bearing core is the Rack Frame, a welded steel structure with four adjustable mounting rails, casters and leveling feet. Perforated Front Door and Rear Door panels and removable Side Panel sides enclose it. Power comes from dual Rack PDU (Metered/Switched) strips, heat is pulled out by the Rear-Door Fan Unit, and cabling is dressed through the Cable Management managers. A KVM Console Drawer gives local console access, while a Environmental Sensor Kit reports conditions remotely and a Grounding & Bonding Kit bonds every metal part to earth.

How it works

Mounted equipment draws front-to-back airflow: cold supply air enters through the ~70%-open front door, passes through the servers, and exits the rear. Blanking Panel panels seal unused U-spaces and Airflow Baffle containment stops hot exhaust from recirculating to the intakes, keeping inlet temperatures within spec. The rear-door fan array adds active extraction for dense, high-wattage loads. Each metered/switched PDU distributes utility power to outlets, measures current per circuit, and can switch individual outlets remotely for staged power-up or hung-server reboots. The grounding system bonds the frame, doors and rails so any fault current returns safely to earth and equipment shares a common reference, while the sensor kit logs temperature, humidity and door-open events to the building management system.
