AssemblyOverview
The antenna array couples the mainboard's radios to the air. Six elements arranged around the housing give the spatial diversity that Wi-Fi 6 MIMO needs to run multiple independent streams.
Construction
Each Antenna Element is a dual-band radiator positioned for coverage and isolation from its neighbors. Signals reach them from the radios over RF Coaxial Cable coaxial pigtails terminated in miniature Connector IPEX/U.FL plugs that snap onto the mainboard. Spacing the six elements apart decorrelates their signal paths, so the router can transmit and receive several spatial streams at once and steer them toward different clients, multiplying throughput without extra spectrum.
