Milk Frother Product
Overview
The milk frother is a cordless countertop appliance that whisks and warms milk for coffee drinks. Milk sits in a stainless Milk Carafe that lifts off a powered Induction Drive Base, so there is no cord or motor inside the carafe to clean. A magnetic Whisk Disc sits in the bottom of the jug, and the base spins it without any mechanical shaft passing through the carafe wall. Depending on the disc fitted and the mode chosen, the same machine produces dense cappuccino foam, light airy foam, or simply warm milk.
How it works
When a mode is selected on the Control Board, its microcontroller starts the base drive and, for the hot modes, switches the heater. The base contains a small DC motor turning a coupling disc carrying two drive magnets; these magnets pull on a follower magnet inside the whisk, so the whisk spins inside the sealed carafe through magnetic coupling alone. The interchangeable frothing disc, a loose spring coil, drags air down into the milk to build foam, while the plain heat disc only stirs for even warming.
Heating is handled by the Heating Element block bonded to the carafe floor. A sheathed heating element warms the milk while an NTC thermistor reports temperature back to the control board, which holds the milk near 65 °C and then shuts off. A one-shot thermal fuse opens permanently if the element ever overheats, for example on a dry run. Mains power reaches the heater through spring contacts in the base that mate with pads under the carafe, fed by the Power Cord.
The carafe itself is double-skinned stainless steel with a non-stick lining, a cool-touch handle, a vented snap-on lid and an anti-drip pour spout, all sealed with silicone rings. An LED ring on the base shows the chosen mode and counts down the cycle. Because the only moving part inside the milk is the magnetic whisk, the carafe rinses clean in seconds while the motor, board and heater stay sealed in the base.
