High-Speed Blender

Product

Overview

The High-Speed Blender is a countertop jug blender built for heavy, repeated duty: smoothies with ice and frozen fruit, hot soup blended from cold ingredients, and stiff nut butters that stall lesser machines. It is heavier-duty than a basic kitchen blender. A ~1700 W series-wound universal motor produces 2 to 2.5 peak horsepower and drives the blade pack at up to ~24,000 rpm, so the Stainless Blade Pack tips move at roughly 270 mph (about 120 m/s). That speed is what lets the machine pulverize seeds, fibrous greens, and frozen blocks rather than just chopping them.

The product divides into a powered Motor Base, a Jar Assembly, a programmable Control Panel, a Cooling System, a removable Sound Enclosure, a Power Cord, and the Tamper accessory. Four Rubber Foot feet keep the base planted while the motor torques against a full jar.

How it works

The operator loads the Tritan Jar (2 L), seats it on the base, and selects a speed or program. The motor spins up and transfers torque through the Motor Shaft Coupling and the splined Drive Clutch / Coupling in the base. The clutch mates with the Drive Socket at the bottom of the Blade Assembly, so the blade pack turns whenever the jar is locked down. There is no gear reduction: the blade shares the motor shaft speed, and torque comes from the motor windings directly.

Inside the jar, the spinning blades drive a vortex that pulls food down from the surface and back through the cutting zone. The Tritan Jar (2 L) walls are shaped to break that flow into turbulence, which is what does the fine particle reduction. For thick mixtures that trap an air pocket and stop circulating, the operator removes the Vented Center Cap and works the Tamper down through the lid to push ingredients back into the blades while the motor runs.

Hot soup is made without a heating element. Friction from several minutes at high speed raises the contents to serving temperature, so the Vented Center Cap doubles as a steam vent during the soup program.

Motor and drive

The motor is the core of the machine. Its Stator Assembly carries the field windings and its Rotor Assembly is the wound armature; current reaches the armature through two Carbon Brush contacts on the commutator, each held by a Brush Spring. The brushes are a wear item and are replaceable. The shaft runs on two Ball Bearing units, and a shaft-mounted Motor Cooling Fan pulls air across the windings on every run.

The whole motor sits on a rubber-isolated Motor Mount to keep vibration out of the shell, and a cast Cast Counterweight in the Base Housing Bottom lowers the center of mass so the unit does not walk across the counter. A Thermal Cutoff opens the circuit if winding temperature climbs too high during a long run, and resets once the motor cools.

Jar and blade

The Tritan Jar (2 L) is molded from Tritan copolyester, a BPA-free material that resists clouding and shrugs off impact and thermal cycling between cold smoothies and hot soup. The 2 L vessel carries a riveted Jar Handle and graduations on the wall. A Jar Lid latches over the rim with an O-Ring Set seal, and its vented Vented Center Cap relieves steam pressure.

The Blade Assembly is a sealed cartridge. The hardened Stainless Blade Pack mounts on the Blade Shaft, which rides on a Ball Bearing behind a Shaft Seal that keeps liquid out of the bearing and the Drive Socket. A Jar Gasket seals the cartridge to the jar bottom, and the Jar Base Collar threads on to clamp everything together.

Control, cooling, and enclosure

The Control Panel is built around a Bare PCB populated with an Microcontroller, SMD Passive (R/C/L), and two Relay devices that switch the motor. The operator drives it with the Variable Speed Dial, the Preset Buttons, and the Pulse Switch; a Display Module shows speed, program, and a countdown timer behind a sealed Membrane Overlay. Programs ramp speed automatically and shut off when the cycle ends, so soup and nut-butter runs do not need babysitting.

Because the motor runs near its thermal limit on long cycles, the Cooling System adds a Base Blower Fan in the base, a Vent Grille for intake and exhaust, and a washable Intake Air Filter. The blender is loud at full speed, roughly 88 to 95 dBA, so the optional Sound Enclosure fits over the jar. Its Acoustic Shell and Acoustic Foam Lining cut perceived noise by about 12 dBA, and a Enclosure Latch holds it shut.

Use and maintenance

For daily use, the jar self-cleans: add warm water and a drop of soap, run the smoothie program for thirty seconds, and rinse. Periodic care is light. Clean or replace the Intake Air Filter when airflow drops, swap the Carbon Brush pair after long service, and check the Jar Gasket and O-Ring Set for wear if liquid weeps past the blade base. The Tamper is sized so it cannot reach the blades through the lid, which keeps the operator clear of the cutting zone while tamping. A 230 V variant uses the same base with a different motor winding and Power Cord for export markets.
