Personal Bullet Blender

Product

Overview

A personal bullet blender is a compact countertop blender built around a single threaded cup that doubles as the blending jar and the travel container. You fill the Travel Cup with fruit, ice, and liquid, screw on the Cross Blade Assembly, invert the whole stack onto the Power Base, and press down to run. After blending you remove the blade base, fit a Sip Lid, and drink straight from the same cup. The format trades the large pitcher and pour spout of a full-size blender for portability and a small footprint. A typical base weighs 1.3 to 1.8 kg, so it sits on the counter without claiming a permanent place on it, and the cup goes in a bag once the lid is on.

The product splits into a few clear groups: the power base with its motor and switching, the blade packs that thread onto the cups, the cups and lids themselves, a small control board, and the cord. Two blades ship as standard, a Cross Blade Pack for wet blending and a Flat Milling Blade for grinding dry ingredients such as coffee and spices.

Power base and motor

The Universal Motor is a series-wound universal motor rated between 600 and 900 W. Universal motors run on AC or DC and spin fast, which suits the short, high-speed bursts a bullet blender needs. Current reaches the wound Rotor Assembly through two Carbon Brush units pressed against the commutator by their Brush Holder springs; the field comes from the Stator Assembly. The Motor Shaft rides on two Ball Bearing units and carries a Cooling Fan that pulls air through the Vent Grille louvers. At no load the blade turns near 20,000 rpm, dropping under the load of ice.

A Thermal Cutoff sits against the motor windings. If the user runs the blender past its 60-second duty cycle and the windings overheat, the bimetal strip opens and stops the motor until it cools. The motor sits in a rubber Motor Mount inside the Base Housing, which is a two-shell plastic enclosure held together with a Fastener Set. The base draws no power at rest because the press switch breaks the circuit, so there is no standby load to leak current while the blender sits unused.

Drive and safety switching

Torque passes to the blade through the Drive Coupling. A splined Drive Dog on the motor shaft engages matching Drive Lug features on the blade base, so the two lock together only when a cup is seated and twisted into place. A Coupling Shaft Seal keeps splashed liquid out of the motor cavity.

Two switches gate the motor. The Cup Interlock uses an Interlock Cam tripped by the cup lock ring, closing an Interlock Microswitch only when a cup is locked down, so the exposed blade can never spin on the bench. The Press-to-Run Switch is the run control: pressing the cup toward the base drives a Switch Plunger into a Momentary Switch, and the motor runs only while pressure is held. Releasing the cup stops it at once.

Blades and cups

Both blade packs share a layout. A Blade Shaft carries the blade, runs on two Ball Bearing units, and seals at the bottom with an Oil Seal and an O-Ring Set so food cannot reach the bearings. The shaft threads into a Blade Base Housing that screws onto the cup against a Blade Gasket. The cross pack stacks four edges for pulling ingredients down into the vortex; the flat blade keeps two edges low for milling. Running the cross blade dry, or the flat blade with liquid, gives poor results, so the two blades are kept distinct rather than combined into one compromise head.

The Cup Set holds two cups of 0.5 to 0.7 L. Each Travel Cup is molded in Tritan copolyester, which is clear, impact-resistant, and free of BPA. A clip-on Comfort Lip Ring softens the drinking rim, a Cup Handle aids carrying, and a Cup Gasket seals the cup against the blade base.

Control and power

A small Control Board carries a Bare PCB, an Microcontroller, SMD Passive (R/C/L), and a Relay that switches motor current. A Indicator LED shows power and pulse state, and a Wire Bundle with Connector links the board to the switches. Mains power enters through the Power Cord Assembly: a Power Cord sized for 120 V or 230 V supply, a Mains Plug, and a Strain Relief at the housing.

Use and maintenance

Four Rubber Foot grip the counter against the torque of start-up. The bundled Accessory Kit adds a Cleaning Brush for the blade pack and Storage Lid caps for keeping a blended drink in the fridge. Cups, lids, and rings are dishwasher safe on the top rack; the blade base is rinsed by hand and dried so the bearings stay clean. The base wipes down only, since the motor and switches are sealed against splash but not submersion.
