Overview

A heat-pump clothes dryer tumbles damp laundry in heated air and recovers moisture without venting to the outside. The Cabinet forms the structural shell and supports the Drum Assembly, a perforated steel cylinder that rotates the load past a stream of warm air. Unlike vented dryers that exhaust hot, humid air and pull in fresh air to reheat, this design runs a sealed loop and recycles its own heat, which is what earns the A+++ efficiency class.

How it works

The Drive Motor turns the drum through a belt and simultaneously spins the Blower Assembly, which pushes air around the Air Path ducting. Air heated to roughly 50–60 °C enters the drum, picks up moisture from the tumbling laundry, and exits laden with water vapor.

The recovered heat is the core of the design. The Heat Pump Unit runs a small refrigerant circuit: its evaporator chills the moist process air below the dew point so water condenses out, then its condenser reheats the same air before it returns to the drum. Because the heat of condensation is fed straight back into the airstream, the machine consumes far less energy than a resistive heater and never exceeds laundry-safe temperatures, protecting delicate fabrics.

Condensed water drains to the Condensate System system, which routes it to a removable tank or a plumbed connection. The Control System board manages cycle selection, reads load humidity to decide when fabrics are dry, and sequences the motor, compressor, and blower. Four Adjustable Leveling Foot feet stabilize the cabinet, and the Wire Bundle distributes mains power and control signals throughout the appliance.
