Automatic Labeling Machine Product

Overview

An automatic labeling machine applies pressure-sensitive labels to products as they move past on a conveyor, replacing hand application on bottles, boxes, jars, and pouches. The labels arrive die-cut on a roll of release liner; the machine's job is to separate each label from the liner at the right instant and press it onto the product exactly where it belongs. Because the product never stops, placement depends on tracking both product position and line speed.

Products ride the Product Conveyor, and the whole label path is carried on the Frame & Base with adjustable beams so the head can be set over the product face.

How it works

The Label Dispenser unwinds the label roll and drives the web over a sharp Peel Plate. As the liner wraps tightly back around that edge, each stiff label snaps free and projects forward with its adhesive face exposed, while the spent liner is wound onto the rewind mandrel. A Label Gap Sensor reads the gap between labels so the stepper stops the web precisely at the peel point.

Timing comes from two more inputs: a Product Sensor that triggers a dispense when a product arrives, and a Conveyor Encoder reading conveyor travel so web feed matches line speed and the label lands in the same spot on every unit. The peeled label meets the product at the Applicator & Wipe-down, where a sprung roller lays it down and a wipe brush or roller smooths it to expel trapped air. The Control Panel holds the label length, dispense offset, and speed settings, and the SoC interface stores a job per product so changeovers are a recipe recall rather than a manual setup.
