Camping Tent

Overview

The camping tent is a freestanding two-person dome built for three-season use. A crossing aluminium pole set tensions a breathable inner Tent Body beneath a coated waterproof Rainfly, giving two doors and two vestibules in a sub-1.7 kg minimum trail weight. Because the structure is freestanding it pitches without stakes on hard ground, though the included Aluminium Stake set and Guyline Set are needed to tension the fly and resist wind.

Construction

The inner body is sewn from ripstop nylon canopy panels and large no-see-um mesh panels for airflow, dropping into a bathtub floor whose coated fabric and raised welded seams keep groundwater out. Two zippered Door Assembly units, ceiling pockets and guy-out loops complete the canopy. The body clips to the poles with ten plastic pole clips rather than sleeves, which speeds pitching and improves ventilation between the inner and fly.

The Pole Set is the structural heart: fourteen 7000-series aluminium segments are swaged with ferrules, strung on internal shock cord and joined at a central hub so the arches cross and lock into the canopy corners. Shock cord lets the poles fold compactly and self-align when shaken out.

Over the top, the rainfly is a ripstop nylon canopy treated with a silicone/PU coating for a roughly 1,500 mm hydrostatic head. It carries a vestibule over each door for gear storage, propped vents to shed condensation, and side-release buckles that clip to the body corners and let the fly be tensioned independently. Stitched seams on both the floor and fly are sealed with heat-bonded tape.

Setup accessories include a coated Footprint that protects the floor and extends its life, drawcord Stuff Sacks for tent, poles and stakes, and a Repair Kit holding a pole splint, adhesive patches and spare seam tape for field repairs.
