Concrete Batching Plant Product

Overview

A concrete batching plant is the fixed installation that turns raw constituents into ready-mix concrete to a precise recipe. Sand and stone, cement, water, and chemical admixtures are each measured by weight, combined in the correct proportions, and blended to a uniform mix that is discharged into a truck or pump. Because concrete strength depends directly on the water-to-cement ratio and on consistent gradation, the whole plant is organised around accurate weighing and repeatable mixing rather than raw throughput.

Material flows top-down through a steel tower: stored in the Aggregate Storage and Cement Silo & Screw, proportioned by the Weighing System, then combined and blended in the Twin-Shaft Mixer.

How it works

A batch begins when the operator selects a recipe at the Control Room. The PLC opens each aggregate gate in turn, trimming flow so the Weighing System hits the target mass for every fraction; the suspended weigh hoppers ride on load cells whose signals are continuously compared against the set point. Cement is metered from the silo by a screw conveyor into a separate weigh hopper, so it never mixes with aggregate until the mixer.

Weighed aggregate is lifted to the mixer charging chute by the Charging System skip hoist, while cement drops in from above. The Water & Admixture Dosing meters water and admixtures through flow meters and metering pumps as the batch enters the mixer, controlling the water-cement ratio that sets final strength.

In the Twin-Shaft Mixer, two counter-rotating paddle shafts drive material through each other on opposing helices, producing a homogeneous mix far faster than a drum mixer. After a timed cycle the discharge gate opens and the batch drops into the waiting truck. Throughout, the Dust Collector pulls cement dust off the weigh hopper and mixer vents through bag filters, keeping fugitive dust within limits and recovering captured cement back into the process.
