Vibratory Truss Screed Product

Overview

A vibratory truss screed strikes off and consolidates fresh concrete on wide flatwork — bridge decks, floor slabs, canal linings, and large pours where a hand screed or roller screed cannot span the width. A long aluminum truss bridges the full width of the pour between set side forms or screed rails. As the truss is hauled along, its vibrating bottom edge cuts the concrete to grade and drives the slurry up to fill voids, leaving a flat, consolidated surface ready for finishing.

The structure is a Truss Frame built from bolt-together Truss Section bays, so the same machine sets to any span the job needs. Each end rests on a wheeled End Carriage that rides the form, and operators steady the truss with a Operator Handle at each end.

How it works

Consolidation comes from the Vibration Drive. A Vibration Motor spins a long Eccentric Shaft running the length of the truss; the offset weight throws a rotating force that shakes the whole frame thousands of times a minute. That vibration passes into the Strike-Off Blade along the truss bottom, which liquefies the surface paste so the truss can shear off the excess and the concrete settles dense and flat.

The screed advances itself rather than being dragged by hand. A Self-Propel Winch anchors its cable ahead of the pour and winds in, hauling the whole truss forward along the forms at a slow, even rate set by the operator. Final slab grade is dialed in at each End Carriage using a Grade Adjuster, a screw that raises or lowers the blade relative to the form.

Both motors run from a sealed Control Box box, where a Speed Controller tunes vibration intensity and winch speed independently so the operator can match the screed to slump, span, and pour rate.
