Soil Stabilizer / Reclaimer Product

Overview

A soil stabilizer — also called a reclaimer or cold recycler — rebuilds a road base in place instead of digging it out and trucking in new material. A large milling rotor underneath the machine cuts down into the existing soil or worn pavement, pulverizes it, and blends in a stabilizing binder such as cement, lime, or bitumen emulsion. The result is a strong, uniform stabilized layer made largely from the material already on site, which is why the technique is favored for road rehabilitation and building haul roads over weak ground.

The machine is built on a heavy Main Chassis driven by a turbocharged Diesel Engine. The operator works from an enclosed Operator Cab and the whole machine rolls on a four-wheel Hydrostatic Drive.

How it works

The heart of the machine is the Milling & Mixing Rotor, a drum studded with replaceable Carbide Cutter Set carbide tools turning inside a Mixing Chamber. Engine power reaches it through a heavy Gearbox Housing and Helical Gear Pair reduction. As the machine creeps forward the rotor cuts down into the layer, smashing lumps into a fine, mixable consistency. A Cut-Depth Control holds the rotor at the programmed depth using hydraulic lift cylinders and depth sensors so the stabilized layer comes out a consistent thickness.

While the rotor mixes, the Binder Spray System meters binder into the chamber through a Spray Bar. Its Binder Pump is slaved to travel speed, so the dose per square meter stays constant whether the machine speeds up or slows down — the key to an even-strength base. Cut material and binder tumble together inside the hood and are laid back down homogeneously mixed.

Travel is hydrostatic: the engine drives a variable Travel Pump feeding a Wheel Drive Motor at each wheel, giving smooth control down to a crawl. A separate Hydraulic System circuit powers rotor lift, steering, and auxiliary functions, all commanded from the cab through the joystick and touchscreen.
